Learning some of the basic steps in blackjack can be useful in the long run. Blackjack is a very easy card game to learn compared with other card games in the casino. The goal is simple to understand: achieve a total of twenty-one or a total closer to twenty-one but bigger than the total of your opponent's hands.

Some of the tips that you can follow in blackjack are: 1st, do not try to force yourself to reach the total of twenty-one. Even though that it is advisable to reach 21, you are just pushing your luck because you may totally lose the hand. Statistics show that getting a total of 21 is lesser compared with going over the total of 21.

2nd, push the dealer. Since the game of blackjack is a player vs. dealer battler, you should try to edge out the dealer. Instead of trying to achieve a total of 21, try to correctly guess what card hand the have and play your cards from there.

You have to remember that the dealer in a live casino or even in a casino has to stop getting another card if the cards on the gaming table have a total of seventeen. But if their cards have a total of sixteen or less, they will get another card.

3rd, observe the dealer's face card. If the card of the dealer is a low card like a two card, three card, four card, five card, six card or seven card. If it is a nine card or ten card, the probabilities are high that the dealer has a ten card or the dealer will forced to get another card. So it is good if you reach twenty-one but it is advisable to stop at eighteen or nineteen and hope that the dealer will bust. The steps on how to play blackjack in a casino are:

1st, place your wager on the table. Each blackjack game has a set minimum wager like a dollar or twenty dollar for the high-roller table. This is the total amount of chips that you will place on the table and this will inform the dealer that you want to take part in the next game.

2nd, you will receive a card and all of the players who have placed down a wager. 3rd, the dealer puts down a face-up card at the table. This just one of the cards in the possession of the dealer and since it is in a face-up position; all of the players in the game have the opportunity to guess what will be the outcome of the dealer's cards. 4th, the dealer gives a second card. The dealer then gives you and your opponents another card. This is an advisable to study them and the dealer's card and decide if you want to acquire another card or not.

5th, the dealer asks each player in the game. The dealer will then ask the players in the game if they want to get another card or not. If the player wants another card, then the dealer will give them one. Then the dealer will ask you again if you want another one.

Remember that the dealer will continue to ask you until you decide not to get another card. The dealer will then ask the next player in the game until the last player. 6th, the dealer starts the game. Only when all of the participants in the game have declared that they do not want get a card, does the dealer start the game. The dealer gets card until they reach a total of seventeen or above.

7th, the dealer places the cards in a face up position. After the dealer is finished, they will then show their cards. The dealer will then open the cards of each player. After showing the hands of each player, the dealer then pays out the wager or then gets the wager of those players that have lost in the game.
